Global Release of “That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout” on March 17

(Nashville, Tenn. – March 12, 2018) – Country music recording artist Jim Brown is proud to announce the upcoming worldwide release of his newest single, “That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout,” set for March 17; this release coincides with the striking of his recent distribution deal through Nashville’s Perry Music Group with Sony’s The Orchard.

The song, penned by Louisiana-born Scott Sanford, blends Brown’s rootsy Tennessee upbringing with enough attitude to kick open the door to your favorite honky-tonk! The first release from Brown’s brand-new EP project, also titled That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout, is currently available in digital outlets throughout the United States including Apple Music, Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.

“Man, it’s been a long time comin’,” says Brown of the new project. “We (he and co-producers Darran Smith [Tim McGraw] and Mark Allen [Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of TLC]) started working on this last year, looking for the mix of songs that reflected both my appreciation of such great new country songwriters and my love of classic country; I think we’ve found that…and I couldn’t be more excited about the new stuff!”

Having recently made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry, Brown finds the idea of his music now reaching into fifty-two countries a bit overwhelming. “It’s pretty wild, thinkin’ that my songs are headed to Japan, China, other places I’ve never thought of going,” said Brown. “I grew up with the Opry, so that was a dream come true. But to have this new opportunity working with Perry Music Group, I’m just really excited to see what we can do together.”

In addition to the release of the new EP, That’s What I’m Talkin’ ‘Bout, Brown also recently joined country artist John Schneider, (“Bo Duke” of The Dukes of Hazzard), and a host of other celebrities (Tanya Tucker, John Conlee, Heidi Newfield, Jamie O’Neal, Collin Raye among others) for the re-recording of the classic theme song, “Good Ole Boys.” The song, written by Waylon Jennings, is now available online; funds raised from the single benefit Jenning’s diabetes foundation.
